History

CrossVision is a European endgame linkshell on Ifrit Final Fantasy XI server. It was formed on November 2nd 2006 by Tiggr (shell holder), Deedeebird, Lyonheart, Emanuel and Systemmys. The linkshell was formed because of the lack of endgame linkshells for European players. Due to differences in time zones European players frequently had to stay up all night so they could join in North American endgame events.

The name CrossVision is one of many names that had been suggester, the most popular name was “Zaft” but it was already in use. “Vision” is related to sky and sounds nifty and “Cross” seems to partner well with Vision. Tiggr feels that “Cross” being in the middle North America and Japan after all Europe is the center of the world.

In the beginning CrossVision only ran sky events but over time has evolved and recently started doing Limbus and HNMs. The sub-shell DynaVision was formed in March 2007 and does Dyanmis events weekly.

Today

CrossVision is still going strong and holds many events on a regular basis which all members are welcome to attend. There are a large number of members from all over the world not just Europe and more are applying every week. Most events that are held have in excess of 20 members who are always up for a good time and are never disappointed. Of course we do not just do endgame events we also help out the members with what ever quest or mission they require.

CrossVision has been using forums form free hosts for a while and has recently moved to InvisionFree where it currently resides. The domain crossvisionls.com was bought by Matt (Andromida) on the April 7th 2007 and is hosted on Servage.net and is currently under development.
